“Art and spirituality have become one and the same in my life. I was initiated into Transcendental Meditation in 1976 and knew that I had come home. Regular meditation has been the back bone of my life, my steady practice that has kept me in balance, nurtured and energized. So has my daily art routine. Whether it is painting, weaving (I had been a fiber artist for 25 year before turning to a painting career), playing music or drawing mandalas….art has helped me heal in difficult situations, release emotions, relax my mind, connect me with the “zone” while painting or just letting a higher energy bring flow to my work. My yoga and movement practices have given me physical strength and a healthy mind/body.”
