Yin Yoga

Longer holds with (with or without support )either seated or reclined, allows for a deeper dive into the body's more plastic tissues including fascia, joints and tendons. In addition, Yin yoga enhances the vital energy flow to the internal organ. It's also a nice complement to the more Yang styles of yoga and other physical activities.

About This Class

In Yin yoga, the emphasis shifts beyond the muscles to the body’s deeper and more plastic tissues. We extend the length of time mostly in seated or supine positions on the mat. The longer held Yin poses are designed to target the connective tissues, including ligaments, joints and fascia. The practice of Yin yoga enhances the vital energy flow to the internal organs, instills serenity in both mind and body, diminishes stress and anxiety and is complementary to the Yang style of yoga, other sports and strength training.
